  • The accused woman, Erika Menendez, who forced New York based Non Residential Indian (NRI) Sunanda Sen to kill in front of a running train at Lowry Street Station has been arrested after identification using the Close Circuit Television (CCTV) footage. She confessed that she had pushed unacquainted Mr. Sen to the railway track due to her anger regarding 9/11 WTC incident.
  •  40 people killed in two separate brutal blasts in Pakistan. A bus which set out on a pilgrimage to Baluchistan in Iran was blown and 19 pilgrims died on the spot. Pakistan Govt. suspected Lashkar-e-Jhangvi for the first incident. In another massacre Tarikh-e-Taliban killed 21 people brutally whom they kidnapped from Peshawar check post.

International News/Events of 31 December 2013

  • Bi-polar disorder found in the accused woman, Erika Menendez who killed NRI Sunanda Sen. Erika Menendez earlier arrested several times for attacking people and intoxication as well as drug addiction.
  • Respected news weekly Der Spiegel mistakenly published an obituary Senior George H. W. Bush and this German Weekly Tabloid confirmed their mistake later on regarding the death of the former U.S. President.
  • United States (US) Foreign Secretary Hillary Clinton (65 years) admitted to hospital due to an internal hemorrhage after a head injury.

  • A New Year’s Eve tragedy happened in New Zealand. The Oscar winning Lord of Rings Sound Editor Michael (Mike) Hopkins died in an accident while he was rafting in the Waiohine River on New Zealand’s North Island.
  • After brutal death of Pulse Polio Vaccination staffs, 7 teachers consisting of women were killed by an unknown terrorist group in Swabi District of Pakistan.  These teachers cum volunteers were engaged to a mass literacy drive program in the region.

  • Ten (10) ill-fated citizen of Angola died by a stampede in a religious ceremony here in the capital city – Lawanda.
  • North Korean newly elected young President Kim Jong Un wished to continue foreign relation hand in hand alongwith peace and harmony with his nearest neighbour South Korea and he also gave a proposal for the unification of the both country by forgetting the years long bellicosity.
  • Ziauddin Yousafzai, father of Malala Yousafzai (winner of National Malala Peace Prize and nominated for Internation Children’s Peace Prize) has been recruited as an Education Ambassador of Pakistan to Britain which is a 3 years long responsibility for him under the jurisdiction of Pakistan High Commission here in London, England.

International News/Events of 04 January 2012

  • Malala Yousafzai has been discharged from hospital for a short while and she is now resting in a West Midlands home. Another operation of her brain will be done again.
  • Venezuelan President Hugo Rafael Chavez is hospitalized due a sudden respiratory infection after his cancer surgery. He is under medical supervision for his complication as a consequence of a severe lung infection.
  • Sons of Former Late Libyan President cum Supremo Muammar al-Gaddafi accepted the allegation of his father’s monitory support to Nicolas Sarcozy during French Presidential Election.

International News/Events of 05 January 2012

  • Another act of assailing in United States claimed 3 innocent lives in Aurora, Colorado. In this incident an assailant has also been killed during firing.
  • A severe earthquake has shaken the region of the State of Alaska in USA which has been measured 7.7 in Richter scale. This strong earthquake scaled by United State Geological Survey (USGS) and took place around GMT (UTC) 0858.
